It is the opposite of up-tight and stressed out.
The group consists of two guitarists Keith Watling and Gare Hofstad playing amplified acoustic guitars. Together they perform as a instrumental duo or as an ensemble with other musicians. Keith plays a classical guitar, gypsy jazz guitar, requinto, and ukulele. Gare also plays classical guitar as well as Brazilian nylon string guitar with a unique body shape called a carviola that is used to play Brazilian jazz. He also plays a six string banjo and a 12 string guitar.
They have played together for over 5 years in a variety of clubs, wine bars, festivals, gallery openings, as well as private parties and weddings. They have a vast eclectic repertoire reflecting their many years of performing together. Their core styles include jazz, latin jazz, gypsy jazz, rock, blues, and classical. They are based in the Wauwatosa and have played venues in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Racine, Kenosha, and Madison.
As a Larger Ensemble
For special occasions they can add more musicians such as Darele Bisquerra with her reperitoire of Latin music. They have also added mandolinist Tom Schwark and flutist Rick Aaron. Other musicians such as Dawn Mitrovich violinist, bassists can also be added for a larger ensemble.
